Linear Accelerator Elekta Synergy® S
The Elekta Synergy®S linear accelerator is designed for precision irradiation of extracranial and intracranial localizations. Elekta Synergy S accelerators enable the most precise 4D adaptive image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) techniques, intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), and stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) and radiosurgery (SRS) techniques that hold a special place in radiation therapy.
The latter allow delivering doses with the highest degree of conformity and irradiating tumors closely adjacent to healthy tissues of critical organs or located within them. To implement such techniques, special accelerator equipment is required. It is fully represented in the Elekta Synergy S system. It features increased mechanical precision of moving parts, Beam Modulator multileaf collimator with 4 mm leaf width, expanded X-ray volumetric imaging capabilities, portal imaging device, innovative software, carbon fiber table top, and a number of additional modules. At the same time, along with adding specialized functions, the accelerator practically does not lose its versatility and allows performing simpler techniques as well.
