The EDGE Detector™ characterizes the penumbra more accurately and with less volume averaging than ionization chambers, making it the preferred detector for small-field beam modeling and quality assurance (QA).

Waterproof and high-precision, it is compatible with all common water phantoms for SRS and IMRT modeling, as well as for the commissioning of treatment planning systems (TPS).

The EDGE Detector features a SunPoint® Diode Detector, which is 842 times smaller in volume yet produces a signal 100 times stronger than micro-ionization chambers. Its ultra-small dimensions make it ideal for the precise characterization of the penumbra and steep dose gradients for fields ≤10 cm.
